A brief Introduction:

The Great Trango Tower is one of the jagged granite needles and blocks of Trango Tower along with glimmering Trango Glacier situated in Baltoro region.

At the snout of the Baltoro Glacier the trail divides. We will take the left branch to the BC of Trango Tower. En-route we will enjoy spectacular views and gigantic mountain panorama including Paiyu Peak (6660m), Uli Biaho Tower (6417m), Liligo, Urdukas Peak, Gasherbrum IV (7925m), Mitre Peak (6025m) and etc. The amphitheatre provides an ideal venue to appreciate some of the most inspiring and unique mountain vistas in the world.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 01  Islamabad:

Arrival in Islamabad, drive for briefing.

Day 02  Islamabad/Chilas:

Skardu/Chilas Fly to Skardu. (Flight is subject to weather). In case of cancellation of flight drive (10-12 hrs) by coach to Chilas  On Karakoram Highway.

Day 03  Chilas/Skardu:

Chilas/Skardu, Day free at Skardu. If your are driving, complete road journey to Skardu En-route has good view of Nanga Parbat(8125m).

 Day 04 Skardu – Askole:

Askole (3000m) By jeeps drive to Askole (6-7 hrs). Night in camp.

Day 05  Askole – jhola:

Jhola (3200m) Start 2-3 hours walk cross wasteland and traverse Biafo Glacier a tortured Ocean of moving Boulders and crevasses 2 km wide. Night in camp

Day 06  Jhola  – Paiyu:

Paiyu (3600m) Start on a relatively easy trail for 3-4 hrs. Night in camp.

Day 07  Paiyu – Base camp:

Base Camp (4900m)7-8 hours slightly easy walk, with spectacular views and gigantic mountain panorama, including Muztagh Tower, GasherbrumIV,                  Mitre Peak and the mighty K-2.

Day 08-37   30 days for acclimatization and climbing.

Day 38   Trek back to Paiyu, night in tent.

Day 39   Trek to Jhola.

Day 40    By jeeps drive to Askole (8-9 hrs).

Day 41    By jeeps drive to Skardu.

Day 42   Skardu – Islamabad/Chilas:

Islamabad/Chilas Fly to Islamabad (Subject to weather conditions).  In case of flight cancellation drive to Chilas. Overnight at hotel.

 Day 43   Islamabad:

Leisure day at Islamabad, In case of driving, complete road journey from Chilas to Islamabad, stay in hotel.

Day 44  Islamabad:

Islamabad Debriefing, Night in hotel.

Day 45 Islamabad:

Fly out. Transfer to airport for your return flight home.

Services included:

• Process of import/export permit from ministry of tourism.
• Assistance upon arrival/departure.
• Hotel accommodation in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Chilas and Skardu.
• All meals during trek and at B.C. as per itinerary.
• Porterage of 50 kg per person of expedition equipment and high altitude food etc. to the B.C. and 25 kg per person on return from BC.
• Road transfers between airport/hotel and within city as per itinerary.
• Sleeping tents, mattresses, mess, kitchen and toilet tent with tables/field stools and camping ground fees.
• Kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, fuel and related community gear.
• Wages and basic kit of guide, sirdar, cook and assistant(s).
• Insurance of our field staff and low altitude porters (except helicopter rescue).
• Porterage at airports, hotels, toll taxes and parking fee etc.
• Mail handling/forwarding to BC/overseas except postage charges.
• Reconfirmation of air tickets.
• Hiring of HAPs, mail runner(s) and any other crew as per requirement. (Wages and kit to be arranged by the team).

Services not included:

• International & domestic airfare, airport tax, excess baggage charges.
• Surface transfers in case of flight cancellations to the kick off point.
• High altitude porters/any crew above BC.
• Tents, sleeping bags, personal and climbing equipment of any kind beyond base camp including high altitude food and oxygen.
• Medications, ground evacuations and helicopter rescue charges of any kind.
• Room services, laundry, beverages, phone/communication bills and items of personal nature.
• Insurance liability of member (s) and other under force majeure conditions.
• Clearance of cargo and clearing agent’s charges before arrival of the team and its storage.
• Any other service not included in above list.
