A brief Introduction:

This is the mountain often called ‘K2’ by the village people of Korphe. One cross a vine bridge from Askole and walk across the summer pastures. beyond Korphe to reach base came at 3300m. A british women expedition attempted in 1978 but didn’t reach the summit.

Itinerary:

Day 01 Islamabad:

Arrival in Islamabad. Drive for briefing and Transfer to hotel for overnight.

 Day 02 Islamabad/Chilas/Skardu:

Skardu/Chilas Fly to Skardu.(Flight is subject to weather) Upon arrival     transfer to hotel for overnight. In case of cancellation of flight (10-12 hrs)                 drive by coach to Chilas (480 km) on Karakoram Highway. Overnight hotel.

Day 03 Chilas – Skardu:

Chilas/Skardu Day free at Skardu If your are driving, complete road journey (07-08 hrs) to Skardu (275 km) En-route have good view of Nanga Parbat (8125m)  at junction of Indus river and the rapids and fall of Indus river, night hotel.

Day 04 Skardu – Askole:

Askole/Teste (3000m) By jeeps drive to Askole/Teste (7-8 hrs). The                   villagers grow their own cereals, vegetable and fruit and own large herds of                     sheep’s, goats, yaks and dzos, night camp.

 Day 05 Askole – bakhor Das Peak BC:

Bakhor Das BC (3200m) Trek to BC 7-8 hrs while crossing a stream on the way. Overnight camp.

 Day 06-16      11 days for acclimatization and climbing.

 Day 17  Trek back to Teste. Overnight camp.

Day 18   Drive by jeeps to Skardu. Overnight hotel.

 Day 19  Skardu – Chilas- Islamabad:

Islamabad/Chilas  Fly to Islamabad(subject to weather conditions). Upon arrival transfer to hotel. In case of flight cancellation drive to Chilas. Overnight hotel.

Day 20 Islamabad:

Leisure day at Islamabad. In case of driving, complete road journey from Chilas to Islamabad. Overnight hotel.

 Day 21 Islamabad:

After Debriefing  Transfer to airport for your return flight home.

Services included:

  • Process of import/export permit from ministry of tourism.
  • Assistance upon arrival/departure.
  • Hotel accommodation in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Chilas and Skardu.
  • All meals during trek and at B.C. as per itinerary.
  • Porterage of 50 kg per person of expedition equipment and high altitude food etc. to the B.C. and 25 kg per person on return from BC.
  • Road transfers between airport/hotel and within city as per itinerary.
  • Sleeping tents, mattresses, mess, kitchen and toilet tent with tables/field stools and camping ground fees.
  • Kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, fuel and related community gear.
  • Wages and basic kit of guide, sirdar, cook and assistant(s).
  • Insurance of our field staff and low altitude porters (except helicopter rescue).
  • Porterage at airports, hotels, toll taxes and parking fee etc.
  • Mail handling/forwarding to BC/overseas except postage charges.
  • Reconfirmation of air tickets.
  • Hiring of HAPs, mail runner(s) and any other crew as per requirement. (Wages and kit to be arranged by the team).
